MOA senior advisor Bi Meijia visits Bulgaria

MOA senior advisor Bi Meijia headed a Chinese delegation to Bulgaria on Nov. 1-3, 2016. He met with Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vassil Groudev. The two sides exchanged view on promoting the bilateral agricultural trade, and enhancing cooperation in personnel exchanges and training in agriculture.

 

Senior advisor Bi Meijia suggested that the two sides capitalize on the bilateral and multi-lateral platforms for communication, increase capital and human resources input, and send groups for agricultural exchanges and training activities to push forward the bilateral agricultural cooperation. Mr. Vassil Groudev agreed with Mr. Bi Meijia and responded positively. The Bulgarian side promised to provide feedbacks on the draft agreement on cooperation in human resources development and training between the two ministries prepared by the Chinese side. Bulgaria expects to sign the Agreement early next year.

 

During his stay in Bulgaria, Mr. Bi Meijia visited the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries and held talks with the Chairman of the Consultative Board of the Association. The two sides discussed issues on agricultural trade, human resources development and others cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries. The chairman, on behalf of the Association, expressed his appreciation to China for its strong support to the Association. 

 

In addition, Mr. Bi Meijia met Mr. Zhang Haizhou, Chinese ambassador to Bulgaria, and they exchanged views on dispatching agricultural diplomats overseas. Mr. Bi Meijia also visited to a local farm run by Tianjin State Farm Group in Bulgaria.
